Computer Science K-5

How can the, "T" in STEM be used to build our student's level of understanding and foundations in coding?

This curriculum page is designed to provide K-5 educators with information on the free resources that Code.org provides for its K-5 Computer Science Fundamentals Course. To identify the gaps in current curriculum in reference to computer science careers and industry needs, and to explore the use of digital storytelling as a mode of introduction for themes of computer science and technology in the K-5 classroom.

By using this wiki, teachers are encouraged to research Code.org, and use its free resources to implement Computer Science into their curriculum. Any potential STEM block, ELA, Math, or Science block can be infused with both plugged and unplugged lessons that encourage students to use problem solving and critical thinking skills to communicate, persist, and collaborate in computer science.
